Connecting
You to a Fit & Healthy
Lifestyle
|
No time to exercise
today? No healthy food at your workstation? Are
you playing the blame game!!!
When it comes to
healthy lifestyle choices; it is our own responsibility! Don’t
play the blame game! Some reasons are legitimate; but most are
not!
Barriers,
obstacles and excuses! The three things that we
allow to keep us from living our healthiest life! How can you
identify which one of these that you are using to justify
your choices?
A BARRIER is an
unpreventable event or circumstance that hinders our plans; for
example, you are sitting on the “throne” and your head is in
a bucket! Now this is unforeseen and a perfectly legitimate
reason for not exercising today!
An OBSTACLE
is a foreseen event or circumstance that gets in the way of our
plans or actions; for example, your company has decided that you
need to be in another city 3 days of the week. An obstacle is
just something you have to make a plan to get over, under or
around.
An
EXCUSE is an event or
circumstance, foreseen or unforeseen, that with planning could
be overcome; for example, the classic excuse, “I have no
time!!”
When
you come up with reasons for not exercising or for not making
healthy food choices, be brutally honest with yourself! Is it a
legitimate reason? Will a different plan allow me to get around
this? Am I just playing the game and making an excuse?
No one intentionally makes a plan to have a heart attack or to
get diabetes! In fact after surviving a heart attack or
developing diabetes, many will say they wish they had
implemented a healthy lifestyle years before.
Don’t be a statistic!! You may well be able to prevent that
heart attack, diabetes or other degenerative disease by choosing
to implement your healthy lifestyle plan!
There
are no excuses; only solutions
in making your’s a fit and healthy life! Get
up and get going!!
