The Business Accelerator

Principles Of Decision Making As It Relates To Increasing Wealth

by Christoper M. Knight

  • Indecision is a major cause of failure.
  • A mind once made up, tunes into a strong and tremendous amount of extra energy & mind power to accomplish its outcome.
  • Decide to build massive desire for that which you want most for your life. Desire for freedom, brings freedom. Desire for wealth, brings wealth.
  • Simplfy your strategies. Narrow your focus. Decide to dominate anything that exploits your God given talents the best.
  • Welcome to Earth: You are doomed to make choices. :)
  • Study the decision making process of your mentors and folks you model your success around. Find out WHY they make their decisions, the way they do.
  • Your wealth is the sum total of your decisions to date. Think about that. No one else is responsible for your wealth or lack of it, but yourself, and where you are today, is the total of your efforts and decisions since birth till today. Get excited and let's make some new decisions today.

PARO’s advanced Business Accelerator program provides a flexibility of workshops, mentoring, business counseling, web and tele-classes to women who are already established in their businesses but want to ‘grow a little or shift a lot’.  This program builds knowledge, skills, capacity, confidence and resilience as a business owner, and each participant’s program is specially tailored to suit their needs.  Contact accelerator@paro.ca to find out how the program can benefit your business.

PARO's Accelerator project has been supported with a grant from the Canadian Women's Foundation Economic Development Collaborative Fund, a partnership of the Canadian Women's Foundation, CIBC, The George Cedric Metcalf Charitable Foundation, The Ontario Trillium Foundation and an Anonymous donor.

This project is supported by Industry Canada / Fednor.

Daina's Blog

Daina's LiveStrong

“We have learned over the past couple of weeks that cancer does not see political affiliations, race, gender or religion.  Through unity we can find strength and fight to make solving this problem a national priority”. Lance Armstrong

In the last couple of weeks, we have seen Newsweek put the LIVESTRONG Wristband on its cover ironically after Elizabeth Edward’s announcement of her reoccurrence of breast cancer.  Elizabeth spoke at the Inaugural Lance Armstrong Foundation Summit I attended last year in Austin , Texas . Her grace and warmth generated from her inspiring words and she touched all of us with her story.  Elizabeth Edwards is a survivor, and continues to show her strength and determination. I admire her courage and willingness to share her personal story.

There are many of us that have been touched by cancer, and some that have experienced it directly.  It is truly a personal experience, but I believe by sharing the experience with others help make this fight an easier one to battle.  I was given the opportunity to contact a personal speaker who had colon cancer (the same cancer that I lost my father too) who is now working to help others share their stories with a focus on helping them provide a better presentation.  How ironic, I thought, when here I have been struggling at making a great presentation.  I have lots to share, but I don’t know how to make it sound interesting and not scary or depressing.  I hope Edward (who bears the same name as my dad) can help.  It’s amazing the resources that come your way when you are open to receiving them.

So, I am positively thrilled by the last couple of weeks of amazing support by PARO woman and by receiving my first online donation for the LIVESTRONG Challenge from a PARO woman!  Wow!  I have been focusing on the diet and putting my efforts into exercising a little more this week since all the excitement has now fueled my fire much stronger.  I’m encouraged and am thankful to those who believe in me and support me in my efforts.

Remember, as Lance says, to LIVESTRONG!

Connecting You to a Fit & Healthy Lifestyle

The weather is warming up – the sun is bright – the birds are singing – it’s time for some spring cleaning!

Clean up your act and use these five little rules that if practiced daily, will lead you right into a fit and healthy lifestyle!

1       Get moving – 5 days a weeks implement 30 minutes of moderate intensity activity (heart rate is elevated, you are breathing a little harder and you are getting warm). You can do this by going for a brisk walk on your lunch break or divide it up on your coffee breaks! Better yet, get up early and head out the door before the rest of the world is up and about! Implementing this will dramatically improve your heart and lungs and help to regulate your blood sugar.

2       Use weights – build muscle; you know it burns energy! It also helps to prevent osteoporosis; not only that the stronger you are the easier everyday activities will be!

3       Watch your serving sizes – we need far less food than we think we doJ Spread it out into 6 smaller meals a day and your energy levels will stay even, you won’t be hungry and you will feel great!

4       Think fresh and colourful!  Stock up your fridge with items from the perimeters of the grocery store! Eat lots of dark leafy greens as well as bright reds and oranges, whole grain products, lean proteins, low fat dairy and don’t forget the nuts!!

5       Monitor your middle! Get out your tape measure once a week and work towards getting and keeping that waist measurement under 32” for women and 35” for men!

Make it an excellent week! Spring into action and get up and get going!

PS: Don’t forget you can listen to this message and past messages at www.coulisconnection.com!
