The Business Accelerator

Spring into Life

By Christopher M. Knight

Step back about 3 feet at least once a week, and ask yourself if your life is on purpose. If not, create/design a new life.
Ask yourself the right questions:

What is most important to me?
  • What do I want my life to be about?
  • What is the purpose of my business or career?
  • How do I want to be remembered?
  • What is my end outcome right now?

Tell yourself these statements:
  1. I am wealthy.
  2. I feel great.
  3. People love me.
  4. I always find a way to accomplish anything I am committed to.
  5. I always have enough money for anything important in my life.
  6. I am successful, because I continually take massive intelligent action.
  7. I always attract whatever I want in life.

Do this while driving to or from work today. Who cares if any of this is true or not? Your mind/body does not know the difference, and can only act on the direction you point it.

  1. Don't wait for someone to help you design your goals. No one will know you better than yourself, and it is up to you, to decide the direction of your life. Go. Now. Be. Do.

  2. Learning: Setup a game plan for continual learning, knowledge advancement. Are you certified yet in any certification for your career? If not, go find out what certifications can assist you the most, and at least get more information today.

  3. Take responsibility for how you feel on a minute by minute basis. The outside world does-not-determine how you feel, but you do.

PARO’s advanced Business Accelerator program provides a flexibility of workshops, mentoring, business counseling, web and tele-classes to women who are already established in their businesses but want to ‘grow a little or shift a lot’.  This program builds knowledge, skills, capacity, confidence and resilience as a business owner, and each participant’s program is specially tailored to suit their needs.  Contact accelerator@paro.ca to find out how the program can benefit your business.

PARO's Accelerator project has been supported with a grant from the Canadian Women's Foundation Economic Development Collaborative Fund, a partnership of the Canadian Women's Foundation, CIBC, The George Cedric Metcalf Charitable Foundation, The Ontario Trillium Foundation and an Anonymous donor.

This project is supported by Industry Canada / Fednor.

Connecting You to a Fit & Healthy Lifestyle

It is April!!

Since this is the month we get all kinds of weird weather; sun, snow, rain, wind, sleet and heat, I thought I would send you a montage of health related trivia!! A little of this and a little of that!

Did you know?

v     You would have to eat 500 boiled shrimp to consume the 25 grams of fat found in 1 sausage egg mcmuffin

v
If you choose 1 ounce of pepperoni, you will be choosing 12 grams of fat – the equivalent of 60 sweet red peppers

v
That a typical 3-cup serving of fried breaded calamari can have approximately 70 grams of fat

v
The average person eats 2,000 pounds of food each year

v     You would have to eat 37 kiwi fruit to consume the 13 grams of fat in 1 package or Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups

v
Exercise is the ultimate healer, both physical and mental! Physical activity gets blood pumping and oxygen coursing through our veins. Getting enough oxygen helps us to overcome illness, injury, stress, anxiety, depression and fatigue!

v
Kids like Kraft Dinner? Whole box is easy to consume – 1230 calories and 60 grams of fat if made to directions on box!!  Ewwwwww…

v
If you choose to eat 1 Burger King double Whopper you are choosing 53 grams of fat

v
Like to go out for wings? Just 5 chicken wings contain 33 grams of fat, 500 calories and 59% calories from fat!

v
15 cans of water packed tuna has 12 grams of fat the same as 3 slices of bacon

v
If you substitute two cups of low-fat popcorn for 2 cups of potato chips once a week, you’ll save 13,156 calories and 936 grams of fat in a year!

v
If you can walk; you can exercise!!

“Self discipline is when your conscience tells you to do something and you don’t talk back!!”

Make it an excellent week!!  Listen to your conscience; choose to be fit and healthy and then get up and get going!!
