At
first you may not notice a difference in how you feel when you don’t
exercise or make healthy nutritional choices – but the effect is
cumulative, rather than immediate. An
evergreen tree developed a brown tinge in the branch tips. Then the
branch tips began to dry and die. A horticulturist came to look for
insect and soil damage but found none. He noted that the tree was close
to the pool and asked if perhaps there was a leak. “No” said the
owner “but every week when I backwash the pool filter, the water
spills under that tree.” “That’s the problem!” the
horticulturist said confidently. “The salt in chlorine will kill just
about any kind of plant.” The owner was unconvinced and declared that
he had been doing it for years. The horticulturist looked at him
squarely and said “Don’t you know that the effect of harmful input
is cumulative?” The soil was changed and fertilized and the
backwash was rerouted. Now the tree is healthy, vital and flourishing
again. Like
the tree, our bodies are living things that need the right nourishment
and consistent exercise. Everything we eat and drink affects our
cellular development; and our bodies slowly lose their physical ability
without the consistent stress of exercise; but the discernable effect is
cumulative rather than immediate. If
you want to look forward to getting up in the mornings, rid your life of
anything that may be slowing you down and setting disease in the
process. Exercise regularly and take in only what will have a GOOD
cumulative effect. Make all your today’s and tomorrow’s excellent. Feel great, feel healthy and fit – Get up and get going!! Cell:

While parting is such sweet sorrow, it will comfort you to know that you can let your Jack O'Lantern compost with its friends rather than sit in icky garbage. "Send Jack Back to the Patch" is a pumpkin composting initiative that has diverted 120 tonnes of compostable waste from Thunder Bay landfills since 1995. Compost bins for
Halloween Pumpkins will be set up from November 1st to November 13th
at the Lakehead Labour Centre – Fort William Road, County Fair Mall
– Dawson Road and the Westfort Playfield—Neebing Avenue.
Pumpkin collection bins are sponsored by ReCool Canada and Print Pros
Plus.
