TALKING WITH WOMEN

During the past ten years, many women have stopped by my office to talk about their lives, not just their careers.  When I came across this article on knowing how to "love yourself", many of the stories I have heard came to mind.

All of our efforts to build our businesses, and find balance in our lives are relationships, start with this basic concept:

When you are loving yourself, you are open and available to be loved by others -- and that makes you irresistible.

Loving yourself means:

  •
  • forgiving yourself for making mistakes
  • forgiving yourself for letting things happen to you
  • knowing you are doing the best you can
  • knowing you are lovable
  • taking a stand for yourself
  • trusting that you will make good choices
  • having your own life
  • drawing toward you what you want
  • being grateful for what comes to you
  • looking to the future with optimism
  • asking for and receiving support when you need it
  • giving yourself the benefit of the doubt
  • wanting what is good for you
  • turning your back on what's not good for you
  • letting things take the time they take
  • knowing you are powerful

Being self-loving is not the same as being self-serving, self-centered, or selfish. Self-love is generous because when you are in love with yourself, you share your happiness and satisfaction with everyone in your life. If you are being a martyr, a victim, a nag, or a critic, you are not only being hard on yourself, but on everyone around you.

  • Enjoy some time out, just for you, during the Spring Break!

Need a quick way to upscale your marketing?  No time to write that newsletter?  Take a look at BLOGGING....

      What is a weblog?

A weblog (blog for short) is a website that is easily, instantly and frequently updated by the owner, usually focusing a specific topic or niche. Essentially it's an instant publishing venue for your content.

A blog consists of dated entries (posts) that highlight useful information relevant to your topic and your opinion, comments and links for reference.

You can also think of a blog as a knowledge management tool. All your posts can be categorized and archived. Pages are spidered by search engines and are therefore searchable within the blog as well as on most search engines.

    What is a business blog?

Because a blog is a cheap, fast way to build an online presence, it is an ideal way for entrepreneurs  and other professionals to establish their credibility and expertise. Since your readers can post comments, you establish a dialogue with your audience and build rapport and trust.

The very nature of a blog is perfect for the busy professional. They are quick and easy to update. You are creating fresh content frequently (daily is best) that is useful to your prospects and customers and loved by search engines. In contrast to the more formal website, a blog is an informal venue that enables your visitors to get to know you.

A business blog can, and should complement your website, ezine and brand.

When you create a conversation with your prospects (visitors, readers), you are establishing your credibility. You build your network and increase the awareness of your products and services in a casual way.

A blog is an essential tool in the professional's marketing toolbox. Combined with a website, an ezine, database management and ecommerce system, you will have everything you need to develop and run your business globally and online.  Source:  Patsi Krakoff

"WHAT THE #$*! DO WE KNOW?!" is a new type of film. It is part documentary, part story, and part elaborate and inspiring visual effects and animations. The protagonist, Amanda, played by Marlee Matlin, finds herself in a fantastic Alice in Wonderland experience when her daily, uninspired life literally begins to unravel, revealing the uncertain world of the quantum field hidden behind what we consider to be our normal, waking reality.

    Health Minute

    Positively Healthy

Keeping negative thoughts away may help you avoid a leading killer.

Risk factors for stroke include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, excess weight, and smoking. And researchers recently determined that additional lifestyle factors, such as dwelling on negative emotions, may help trigger the actual stroke event. Try taking time each day to push aside negative thoughts and reflect on the good things in your life.

    Weekly Inspiration

How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in your life you will have been all of these.

     (George Washington Carver)

"Don't tell me how many hours you've worked.  Tell me what you've accomplished." -  Albert Yu

POSITIVE QUOTE :  "Whenever you ask whether you should behave in this way or the other, ask yourself, what would you do if you knew that you could die this evening, and nobody would find out about your action? Death spurs people or  finish their affairs; among all actions, there is only one type which is  complete, and that is love which seeks no reward."

DAILY MOTIVATION:  Life's lesson No. 1

There once was a bunch of tiny frogs,...... who arranged a running competition.

The goal was to reach the top of a very high tower.

A big crowd had gathered around the tower to see the race and cheer on the contestants...

    The race began...Honestly:

No one in the crowd really believed that the tiny frogs would reach the top of the tower.

You heard statements such as: "Oh, WAY too difficult!!"  "They will NEVER make it to the top."  or: "Not a chance that they will succeed.  The tower is too high!"

The tiny frogs began collapsing. One by one...

... Except for those, who in a fresh tempo, were climbing higher and higher...The crowd continued to yell, "It is too difficult!!! No one will make it!"

More tiny frogs got tired and gave up.....But ONE continued higher and higher and higher... This one wouldn't give up!

At the end everyone else had given up climbing the tower. Except for the one tiny frog who, after a big effort, was the only one who reached the top!

THEN all of the other tiny frogs naturally wanted to know how this one frog managed to do it?  A contestant asked the tiny frog how he had found the strength to succeed and reach the goal?

It turned out... That the winner was DEAF!!!!

The wisdom of this story is: Never listen to other people's tendencies to be negative or pessimistic...

...because they take your most wonderful dreams and wishes away from you -- the ones you have in your heart!  Always think of the power words have.  Because everything you hear and read will affect your actions!

    Therefore: ALWAYS be...POSITIVE!

And above all:  Be DEAF when people tell YOU that you can not fulfill your dreams!

    Always think:
God and I can do this!
