PARO Peer Circles PARO Peer Circles help women to increase their capacity for economic self-reliance. Peer Circle members provide lending support by being collectively accountable and providing references for each other, allowing PARO to use different lending criteria than those of traditional banking institutions. To learn more, click here

The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation is proud to be a vital component of the Northern Prosperity Plan. The Heritage Fund offers a number of funding programs that may be of assistance to you and your business.  www.mndm.gov.on.ca/nohfc/


Community Futures Development Corporations (CFDCs) support community economic development by assisting Ontario’s rural and northern communities to strengthen and diversify their economies. There are 37 corporations in rural southern Ontario and 24 in Northern Ontario. To locate a CFDC in your area, click here  

Canada Business (Government of Canada) The Canada Business site provides a comprehensive listing of government departments and agencies provide financing such as grants and contributions, subsidies and loan guarantees. The Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF) The Canadian Youth Business Foundation is a national charity providing start-up mentoring, financing and business resources for young Canadians, age 18-34, to create their own successful businesses.  www.cybf.ca/


Nishnawbe Aski Development Fund Nishnawbe Aski Development Fund is a non-profit Aboriginal corporation providing loans, tools and business support services to Aboriginal entrepreneurs looking to start, expand or aquire a business in remote, rural and urban communities across Northern Ontario.  www.nadf.org


Aboriginal Business Canada  Aboriginal Business Canada helps Canadian Aboriginal entrepreneurs reach their business goals by providing financial assistance, information, resource materials and referrals to other possible sources of financing or business support.  www.ainc-inac.gc.ca


The Canada Small Business Financial Program The Canada Small Business Financing Program (CSBFP) seeks to increase the availability of loans for establishing, expanding, modernizing and improving small businesses. It does this by encouraging financial institutions to make their financing available to small businesses. The Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) The Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) provides small and medium-sized businesses with flexible financing, affordable consulting services, and venture capital. BDC supports the needs of entrepreneurs at every stage of growth. www.bdc.ca


 

The Small Business Internship Program The Small Business Internship Program provides small and medium-sized enterprises financial support to hire a post secondary student intern to assist them in their adoption of e-business strategies to increase their productivity and competitiveness. www.ic.gc.ca/sbip


The Ontario Arts Council (OAC) The Ontario Arts Council's mandate is to foster the creation and production of art for the benefit of all Ontarians. OAC offers more than fifty funding programs for Ontario-based artists and arts organizations, with funds from the Ontario government. Grants provide assistance for a specific activity, support for a period of time, or for ongoing operations. OAC also offers awards, prizes and scholarships from private funds managed by the Ontario Arts Foundation.

Canada Council for the Arts The Canada Council for the Arts is Canada's national, arm's length arts funding agency. It provides grants to individual professional artists and arts organizations, endowments, prizes and is also involved in research, communication and arts promotion activities to support, promote and celebrate the arts.  www.canadacouncil.ca



Summer Company  Summer Company provides students an opportunity to creat a job they love!
