 |
 PARO Centre for Women's Enterprise understands the geographic and economic challenges facing women entrepreneurs living in regional Northern communities. Since 2006, we have partnered with FedNor and several regional organizations to provide the PARO on Wheels service.
PARO on Wheels is a traveling van that offers a visible, mobile information and training service for women living in outlying regional communities. Our PARO on Wheels team travels regularly to communities from Wawa and Timmins to Kenora, offering women-centred business and employment development services. As a team, we host regular focus group sessions to keep current with the concerns of northern women and to help us propose and implement collaborative solutions.
 Even when we are not on the road, our professional staff are available daily to set up mentoring opportunities for women throughout the region and to partner in bringing innovative events to communities.
PARO on Wheels offers:
o One-on-one and group business development counselling to start-up and growing businesses
o Support to regional peer lending circles
o Training workshops and seminars
o Marketing events
o A weekly e-newsletter
o Networking opportunities
o Regional annual conferences and events
