Success Stories
PARO Centre for Women's Enterprise has assisted over 1200 women across Northern Ontario to achieve their personal and professional goals. If you are ready to start a business, grow your business or build new networks, you can find inspiration from the stories of real women right here.

Suzan Cooper Rochon, Perfect Fit Lingerie - Suzan and her family returned to Thunder Bay after living in Winnipeg for 20 years. Suzan has over 25 years of successful retail sales management experience in small boutiques and big box stores.  Upon arrival in Thunder Bay, Suzan knew that she wanted to follow her retail passion but she also longed to be her own boss.  Suzan said that she felt immediately comfortable at PARO Centre for Women's Enterprise and that the helpful staff provided her with the resources and support she needed to get started.  Read Suzan's full story about starting a business here.

Colleen Gouliquer, Steeper's Tea & Accessories - Colleen has been a member of the PARO Women's Enterprise Centre since opening her own retail tea business, Steeper's, in 2005. During the start-up phase of her business, Colleen joined PARO's Gateway program and benefited greatly from the program's support, mentorship and business advisory services. Read Colleen's full story about growing her business here.

Tasha Sutton, Patricia Dellacecca, Levina Collins, Skandia House - At a young age, Tasha Sutton, Patricia Dellacecca, and Levina Collins all shared a life long dream of becoming their own boss.  Once finding PARO, their new business venture seemed like an ideal and natural fit for their lifestyles and not just a dream.  "The Women's Enterprise Centre program assisted us with our business plan and marketing.  With the assistance of PARO, Skandia House is looking to expand their marketing ideas internationally and by hosting weekend wellness seminars for community residents and PARO members."  Read their full story about building their networks here.
