The Accelerated Access team at PARO Centre for Women's Enterprise understands the complexities of not-for-profit business and are committed to helping them expand their capacity so that they may better service their communities.
We are available to assist new not-for-profit organizations through their start-up phase; from advising and navigating through the complex not-for-profit status application process, to developing and implementing strategic plans. Existing organizations can also benefit from the experience of Accelerated Access through the development of customized funding strategies, proposals, and intelligent plans for sustainable growth. Women entrepreneurs can benefit from the experience of Accelerated Access through working with PARO Business Counsellors to identify their business expansion goals, and then, working to expand their training, markets, and networks. Guergis, Minister of State (Status of Women), and Stacia Kean, Project Coordinator, PARO Centre for Women’s Enterprise) on Thursday, March 5th for the occasion of the 53rd Session on the Commission on the Status of Women at the Permanent Mission of Canada to the United Nations.
“PARO was invited by Status of Women Canada to attend meetings at the United Nations relevant to the 53rd session of the Commission on the Status of Women. This is particularly important at PARO Centre for Women’s Enterprise as do work to advance women’s participation in decision making and to increase their economic security. We had a chance to connect with individuals at the Canadian International Development Agency and in particular the Global Partnerships branch and other UN departments working in Global Marketing. Over the next few months we will continue the conversation with these departments to explore ways that we can support women entrepreneurs living in Northern Ontario in their desire to market their businesses globally (which is one of the goals of our PARO Accelerated Access project).”
