| PARO in the Northeast! PARO Centre for Women’s Enterprise is now providing its unique, women-centered services to women in North eastern Ontario. With enhanced service in both French and English, PARO is helping hundreds of women to start and grow a business in their community. We offer start up business development programs, professional advisory services and technical resources to help women make their new business concepts a reality. Our experienced staff will work with you through all the stages of starting a new business, from developing a business plan to accessing loans. The challenges of growing a business can often feel overwhelming. At PARO, we understand the complexities of managing growth and preparing your business for the future. Our professional team is available to guide you through the growing process and our networking programs are designed to ensure that you can connect with mentors and friends every step of the way. PARO's Peer Circles help women to increase their capacity for economic self-reliance. Peer Circles are self-selected groups of 4 - 7 women whose members share and network amongst themselves for mutual business benefit. Circle members share their experiences, advise each other, support each other and help each other expand their contact networks. Peer Circle members also provide lending support by being collectively accountable and providing references for each other, allowing PARO to use different lending criteria than those of traditional banking institutions. Peer lending has helped many Circle members to grow their businesses and set new goals for the future.
