PARO invites applications for the position of Executive Assistant reporting to the Executive Director of PARO Centre for Women’s Enterprise  

Executive Assistant 

The Executive Assistant supports the Executive Director by coordinating activities associated with PARO programs ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the office by working cooperatively with the Management Team to maintain essential systems and office functions.

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks; exceedingly well organized, flexible and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting a small office of diverse people and programs.  The ability to interact with staff (at all levels) and the general public with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role. 

The Executive Assistant is responsible for the coordination and fulfillment of all administrative duties including but not limited to receiving and distributing all incoming and outgoing correspondence and deliveries, preparing correspondence, creating and/or editing various documents using Microsoft Office software, maintain hard copy and electronic filing system, may conduct research, compile data, prepare for and attend meetings to record minutes and make travel arrangements as directed by the Executive Director. 

With Post Secondary Education in a related field, you have:

·        Proven knowledge of principles and practices of organization, planning, records management and general administration including the use of office equipment

·        Demonstrated effectiveness in time management, multi-tasking and attention to detail

·        Able to work independently on projects and also collaborate as a strong team member

·        Innovation and creativity in the form of continuous improvement to internal processes

·        Ability to speak French and/or Ojibway is a definite asset  

POSITION REQUIRES: A valid driver’s license, excellent communication and analytical skills, and an ability to accommodate competing demands and to meet deadlines.  Essential to this position is passion, vision, and a drive to “try” to make a positive impact on society.
