Dear Supporters of PARO Centre for Women’s Enterprise: The holiday season is upon us.For many of us, this is a time filled with joy, hope and dreams.However, for the women and families we serve, it can be filled with anxiety and hardship due to economic challenges.
PARO Centre provides a caring, supportive environment for women who want to achieve economic stability for themselves and their families.At PARO, we provide a place where women are able to reassess, regroup, and plan for their future.We provide support, counseling, and resources so women can achieve a sustainable livelihood. January 2010 will mark PARO’s 15th year of providing support and resources to women living in rural and remote communities of Northwestern Ontario.In 2009 alone, we’ve touched the lives of approximately 11,960 women and their families.Since PARO’s inception in 1995, we have provided training to 1676 women, organized networking opportunities for 4544 women, and provided PARO loans from $500 to $5000, totaling $256,500.
